The NH90 NFH is the most modern and the best naval helicopter in its class. It has been designed with safety and versatility in mind in order to fulfill the most demanding missions in the harshest weather conditions for the 21st century. The NH90 features a redundant fly by wire system, a full composite corrosion free airframe,two powerful engines, a fully integrated weapon system as well as a wide cabin easily reconfigurable. It can operate from a shore base or a Frigate up to sea state 5.

NH90 NFH has a comprehensive mission system that is all-in-one.
The mission system in the NH90 NFH is an all-in-one system that allows autonomous and joint ASW, ASuW and SAR operations without role change. It comprises a comprehensive sensor, voice and data communication and weapons system which uses data fusion techniques to aid information presentation and decision making. This enables a 3 crew concept or when necessary, a second mission console for a crew of 4 can be role fitted. The system is versatile and both mission and cockpit screens can display mission data. This benefits both operational and training scenarios.

The NH90 NFH is fitted with an automatic blade and tail folding system for safe ship operation. Thanks to this system the NH90 is compatible with a wide variety of military frigates.
The NH90 is able to perform several missions during the same flight thanks to its versatility. This new generation helicopter is operated by a crew of three only thanks to its highly integrated mission system and its up to date man machine interface; The NH90 can as well be operated by a crew of four, this configuration is particularly adapted for operational training purposes; Its wide cabin can accommodate ASW/ASuW sensors without losing the capability to transport special operation troops or wounded persons. The NH90 helicopter can cover a wide spectrum of missions thanks to its role equipment.
