eLearning

The eLearning platform is an interactive courseware designed for helicopter pilots and technicians, covering both familiarization and type training. Accessible via customer-owned devices or industry-standard multimedia classrooms, it offers 3D content, schematics, tutorials, exercises, summaries and quizzes to simplify complex concepts and improve knowledge retention. By leveraging advanced educational technology, it ensures technicians build strong theoretical foundations, preparing them for hands-on applications with confidence and precision.

Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT)

The VMT is an advanced simulation-based training tool for technicians and logistics personnel. It enables hands-on learning of maintenance and diagnostic procedures without real equipment, reducing costs while enhancing effectiveness. Entirely based on genuine OEM data, the VMT delivers an interactive simulation of helicopter systems and avionics, supporting both academic and practical training. Key features include malfunction injection, troubleshooting, and remove/install procedures, ensuring technicians gain essential skills for operational readiness and reliability.

Part Task Trainer (PTT)

The PTT is designed to enhance specific operational skills by allowing trainees to focus on individual aspects of NH90 systems and procedures. This training device enables aircrew and maintenance personnel to refine their expertise in targeted areas, ensuring seamless integration with full-scale simulators and live operations.

Flight Training Device / Full Mission Simulator (FTD / FMS)

NHI is capable to manufacture complete FTD/FMS solution delivering high-fidelity simulation experiences for NH90 aircrew, replicating real-world flight dynamics, environmental conditions, and mission scenarios. From basic procedural training to full operational mission rehearsals, these devices provide an immersive learning experience that maximizes crew proficiency, decision-making and mission success. Multiple FTD/FMS can be networked together to deliver multiplatform training multiplying the level of realism and the effectiveness of the session.

Rear Crew Trainer

The Rear Crew Trainer is designed to prepare NH90 rear crew members for mission-critical roles, including hoisting operations, gunnery, and mission console operation. Through advanced simulation and real-world scenario exercises, trainees develop the necessary coordination, situational awareness and technical skills to execute demanding tasks with precision and efficiency. The Rear Crew Trainer seamlessly integrates with the Front Crew Trainer (FTD/FMS) to deliver Full Crew Training, enhancing coordination, mission execution, and operational readiness.

Maintenance Mock-up

The Maintenance Mock-ups consist of a high-fidelity replica of critical helicopter components, including the engine and transmission, designed for hands-on training. It allows technicians to refine their skills in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance through realistic exercises. By working with meticulously replicated parts, trainees gain practical experience to ensure operational readiness and fleet reliability. This essential tool enhances technical proficiency, reinforces best practices, and prepares personnel for real-world maintenance challenges.

Maintenance Training Simulator (MTS)

The Maintenance Training Simulator (MTS) is a full-scale replica of a helicopter cockpit and cabin, designed with real or simulated parts for immersive hands-on training. It allows maintenance personnel to practice procedures in a realistic environment, enhancing proficiency in practical elements. By bridging theoretical learning with hands-on expertise, the MTS ensures technicians gain the skills needed to handle real-world challenges with confidence and precision, improving operational efficiency and safety.

The Mission Planning and Analysis System (MPAS) revolutionizes mission planning, briefing and debriefing by offering an intuitive, streamlined and data-driven approach. Whether preparing for combat, reconnaissance or training missions, MPAS equips NH90 operators with the tools needed to plan smarter, execute seamlessly and adapt effectively.
The NHI Mission Planning Tool optimises NH90 operations with advanced flight performance analysis, weight & balance management and tactical scenario preparation. It enhances route planning by identifying terrain risks, restricted areas and mission-critical obstacles.
Mission debriefing allows crews to replay flight data, improving post-mission evaluation and performance refinement. Seamless data integration ensures easy transfer of navigation databases, NOTAMs and aeronautical data. This powerful system reduces pilot workload, accelerates planning and maximizes mission success.

Ground Logistic Information Management System (GLIMS)

The NH90 GLIMS (Ground Logistic Information Management System) system is devoted to support the on-ground health and usage monitoring and first-level maintenance activities for the NH90 helicopters.
The purpose of GLIMS is to support H/C first-line operations for the NH90 helicopters in terms of the following functions:
– Handling & Processing of the H/C data downloaded from the H/C
– After the H/C data download, assessing and providing of an immediate indication of aircraft serviceability
– Retrieving components status and usage data
– Assisting the maintainer in planning, performing, and scheduling periodic maintenance activities

Analyzing onboard captured Health and Usage Monitoring (HUM) data.

General Purpose Automatic Test Equipment (GPATE)

Ensuring reliability across operations, GPATE enhances system diagnostics and testing with automated troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Designed for versatility, this tool helps maintain platform integrity, minimizing operational disruptions and maximizing uptime.
