NHIndustries INVITED BY NSHP FOR THE NEGOTIATION PHASE
NHIndustries has been invited for the negotiation phase of the Nordic Standard Helicopter Program.
Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden launched in 1999 a common program to replace its old helicopter fleets for tactical and naval operations with dedicated versions of a basic helicopter in order to share acquisition and in service costs.

NAHEMA and NHIndustries SIGNED THE INDUSTRIALISATION AND 1ST BATCH PRODUCTION CONTRACT OF 298 NH90 HELICOPTERS
The contract for the Production Investment and the Production (PI/P) of a 1st batch of helicopters was signed on 30 June, at the Maison des Polytechniciens, in Paris, by Helmuth Heumann, General Manager of NAHEMA, and Philippe Stuckelberger, General Manager of NHIndustries.Read more

FOUR EUROPEAN NATIONS GIVE PRODUCTION GO-AHEAD FOR THE NH90 PROGRAMME
The governments of France, Italy, Germany, and The Netherlands gave their go-ahead for the production launch of the NH90 helicopter programme on June 8, 2000, during the ILA 2000 airshow in Berlin. This latest-technology helicopter has been jointly developed by Agusta (Italy), Eurocopter (France and Germany) and Stork Fokker (The Netherlands) under the leadership of NHIndustries and the four-nation governmental agency NAHEMA (NATO HElicopter Management Agency). NH90 is the biggest helicopter programme ever launched in Europe.Read more

NH90 PT5 (NFH) HELICOPTER PRESENTED IN FLIGHT
A distinguished audience saluted on 1st March, 2000, the fifth and last prototype of the NH90 (PT5) at Agusta Cascina Costa facility in Italy. Agusta Chairman and CEO, Amedeo Caporaletti, was accompanied at the ceremony by Mr. Patrick Gavin, Eurocopter CEO, Mr. Siegfried Sobotta, Eurocopter Co-chairman, Mr. C.A.M. De Koning, Stork Fokker CEO. The ceremony was also attended by Amm. Isp. Mario Bartoli, NH90 Programme Steering Committee Chairman, Mr. Helmut Heumann, NAHEMA General Manager, Mr. Philippe Stuckelberger, NHIndustries General Manager, other NAHEMA and NHIndustries representatives and an audience of Military Attaches and other distinguished guests.Read more

NH90 HELICOPTER FLIGHTS AT ILA 98
For the first time a helicopter featuring a redundant digital Fly-By-Wire control system is flying at ILA Airshow in Berlin.
The second prototype of NH90 helicopter (PT2) is arrived at Schönefeld/Diepensee airport following a 650 NM flight from Marignane airport (south of France).

NH90 PT1: 1st FLIGHT WITH THE T700-T6E ENGINE
The first NH90 prototype (PT1) with the T700-T6E engine, co-developed by Alfa Romeo Avio, Fiat Avio and General Electric Aircraft Engines, was successfully flown on March 13th, 1997 from the AGUSTA plant in Cascina Costa, north of Milan.Read more
