The multinational German-Belgian helicopter operation association for MINUSMA celebrated in Gao the 1000th flying hour of a German NH90 helicopter.

The pilot captain Rainer M. reports the NH90 raid back from the mission flight and at the same time the one thousandth German NH90 flight hour to an honor formation, which started at the end of the runway at Camp Castor. Together with the combat helicopters Tiger, the German army pilots can now look back on a total of more than 2400 flight hours in Mali.
"The fact that we were able to provide MedEvac and transport capacity to the United Nations reliably and, most importantly, accident-free is a great merit of the entire" Brothers in Arms "team, said Lieutenant Colonel Koehler, commander of the helicopter operations association.
German and Belgian machines are available around the clock to save human lives as quickly as possible in the event of an alert. During the sixteen-month UN mission, the Belgian and German helicopter crews rescued a total of 43 people. The German NH90 are still in use until 30 June.
