Maintenance Concept
The NH90 maintenance concept during the entry into service phase contains two levels:
-On-aircraft maintenance tasks performed by Customer
-Off-aircraft maintenance tasks performed by Industry
Nevertheless, the maintenance can be tailored to specific customer requirements.
The NH90 offers very low maintenance per flight hour ratio as indicate the following values related to preventive maintenance program:
Flight Line Inspections (Basic H/C):
- Before Flight: 15 minutes by 1 man – 8 min by 2 men
- Turn Around: 15 minutes by 1 man – 10 min by 2 men (including refuelling)
- After Last Flight: 15 minutes by 1 man – 10 min by 2 men
- Safety Inspection: 20 minutes with 3 men / 30 min with 2 men. (The Safety Inspection covers the flight safety for 15 FH or 14 calendar days)
