Two main versions are derived from a common basic design:
TTH - main role Tactical Transport of up to 20 Troops
NFH - main role Anti-Ship/Anti Submarine Warfare
The intrinsic characteristics and comprehensive Mission Equipment Packages allow an unequalled range of additional operations like land and sea SAR/C-SAR, medical services, special operations, surveillance, command & control and a number of “Utility” missions together with peace keeping roles. The NH90 can be operated in severe threats by day/night and in adverse weather conditions.
