NH90 Multimission Helicopter

The NFH is an autonomous multi-mission shipborne / shore-based weapon system allowing full interoperability with NATO units.

NH90 has been sized and conceived to be able to operate from frigates and to satisfy entirely the heliborne naval requirements: e.g. total corrosion protection, Naval Mil-Std requirements,EMI/EMC qualification, intrinsic capability to take-off and land on ship decks up to sea state 6, together with high availability, low maintenance effort required and on-the-ship maintenance capability.

A wide, spacious and unobstructed cabin with sliding door on each side and “quick change” mission equipment installation provides the NH90 NFH with the highest flexibility and versatility for the different roles that can be required during shipborne or land-based operations.

The NFH allows the installation of up to 14 foldable crashworthy troop seats, and, alternatively, the installation of up to 9 stretchers.
Emergency doors and windows on each side are provided.
External removable store supports with standard attachments and emergency release functions provide support for the role armament such as Torpedoes and long range Anti-Ship Missiles.
