The new, fully NATO interoperable NH90 is designed to cope with the demanding requirements of any modern Armed Forces in peace, crisis and war time.
The NH90 multi-mission capability will allow replacing several types of previous generation helicopters. Sharing common basis, only the on-board mission system differentiates the two main versions TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) and NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter). This approach guarantees a complete fleet standardization, a cost effective and operationally efficient training and through life support of these weapon systems. Moreover it offers a wide versatility for shipborne and land operations with very quick role changes to allow a single aircraft to cover all the missions of the day.
