NH90 is the first and only one full-composite and full fly-by-wire helicopter in production.

    The NH90 is flown via a multi-redundant Fly-By-Wire control system implemented through its Flight Control System (FCS) with 2 dedicated sub-systems:

    • Primary Flight Control System (PFCS) providing the NH90 with outstanding control and stability capabilities
    • Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) providing the appropriate modes of operation for hands-off flight according to the mission.
