SWEDEN CONFIRMS THE CHOICE OF THE NH90 HELICOPTER

Few days after the NSHP Committee declaration also the Swedish MOD joins Finland and Norway in the selection of the NH90 helicopter for their Armed Forces.

Finland will receive 20 NH90s for Tactical Troop Transport, Norway 14 NH90s (plus 10 in option) in Naval configuration for ASW and Coast Guard missions, and Sweden 18 NH90s (plus 7 in option) both in Tactical Troop Transport/SAR and Naval configuration.

The contract signatures for the supply of 52 NH90 helicopters and 17 options, which will bring the total orders of the NH90 helicopter to 377 units, including 72 options, will follow choice very soon.

The NH90, now selected by 8 European Countries, represents the standard in terms of rationalisation and standardisation of equipment within the Armed Forces, and optimum interoperability in multinational tasks forces and United Nations missions.
