NHI is pleased to announce that the AgustaWestland, fiinal Assembly Line, located at Venice Tessera in Italy, has successfully completed its first year of operations and celebrated the joint delivery of an NH90 TTH to the Italian Army and an NH90 NFH to the Italian Navy on December 16th. The facility has completed nine aircraft this year and is set to assemble and deliver up to18 aircraft in 2012.
Less than one week after its’ entry into service the French Navy helicopter based in Lanveoc (France) and belonging to the 33rd squadron received an emergency call during the night from the TK BREMEN supply ship which had been disabled during a storm at 2 oclock in the morning...
On December 8, 2011, at the French Naval Aviation base Lanveoc Poulmic, France, Chief of the French Navy Admiral Bernard Rogel formally marked the entry in operational service of the NH90 NFH Caiman helicopter.
